Yellow Poplar Tree

Here; you can see just how by the tree is compared to a man. Don, my husband is leaning against the base of it. I am going to plant flowers around it, in the spring.

I love this tree. It's a yellow poplar tree, probably over a 100 years old. I cut out a path to it.

It is still alive. Even after having the top taken out by a tornado from hurricane Frederick almost 30 years ago. It has also been hit by lightening twice. It would probably take 3 men to reach all the way around its base.
I took the picture from the bottom looking up. It looks like a person with their arms stretched out.
